What is your pickup area?
We will pick you up at your location in the Boise, Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell areas. Areas east of Boise and north of Eagle are out of our pickup zone. Please inquire for areas west of Caldwell (Marsing, Middleton, etc.) We are happy to drop you off in a different location than your pick up, within reason.
Which wineries do you go to?
We do not have a set route and every day is an adventure. We have a repertoire of about 18 wineries that we frequent. You can rest assured that they are all special and high quality in their own way. We tend to focus on the smaller boutique wineries, but we might take you to one of the big guys just so you can get a well-rounded look at what the Snake River Valley has to offer. The overall focus is on high quality wines and friendly, informative staff.
How many wineries will we visit?
We will visit four wineries during your tour. This allows for a leisurely pace, taking in all the valley has to offer. We will not visit more than four wineries in one day as “palate fatigue” will set in and the wines will all begin to taste the same.
Are tasting fees included?
Tasting fees at the wineries are included. We want to ensure your day is seamless - with that, tasting fees at the four wineries are included in the booking price.
How do you choose which wineries we will visit?
There are several considerations we take into account when planning the itinerary for the day. If you state any preferences on style we will try to factor that in. If you have any specific winery requests, we will try to accommodate those when possible. If you just leave it up to us, we will put together a well-rounded day with a focus on variety, scenery, quality wines, and interesting, educational experiences. Your best bet is to just sit back, relax, and let the day unfold and we will share our knowledge of the Snake River Valley with you.
What is the duration of the tour?
Pick up is between 10:00 and 10:45 a.m. (depending on your location) and drop off is between 4:45-5:30 p.m. If you need to be back by a certain hour, please let the driver know and we will make it happen.
Do you offer a half-day tour?
All tours are full day only. There simply isn’t enough time in a half day to enjoy the breadth of wine country.
Do you combine us with other people?
NEW IN 2024! All tours are private. This allows for an intimate experience so you receive the full enjoyment of a personalized tour.
What’s the largest group size you can accommodate?
We can accommodate groups up to 10 people.
Why can’t I book a tour as a solo traveler?
We understand this rule can be frustrating for solo travelers. We have found that the format of our tours is such that the group dynamic can be a little awkward when there’s someone without a travel companion to fall back on. We learned by trial and error that it’s best that everyone has a buddy going into it. There are other wine tour companies that offer the more standard “joinable tours” that welcome solo travelers, and we would be happy to point you in their direction. Thank you for your understanding!
